Reflecting on Summer Success and Looking Ahead to the Fall

As we look back on this past summer, we are incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made. CYAP provided 36 youth with transformative summer camp experiences they otherwise would not have had. Our Summer Bridge tutoring program also delivered 176 hours of academic support to elementary-aged students, helping them stay on track during the break. To ensure our youth started the school year with confidence, we hosted a back-to-school event, equipping 50 children with new backpacks, lunch boxes, and outfits.

As we transition into the fall, our focus sharpens with the addition of two new team members at CYAP. These professionals will be instrumental in driving our organizational growth, enhancing our programs, and increasing awareness and community engagement, especially as we approach the high-referral period; we anticipate a rising demand for mental health support, mentoring, tutoring, and holiday assistance.

In addition, we are excited to announce the development of a transportation program designed to assist individuals with limited financial resources. This initiative aims to improve mobility, expand employment opportunities, and provide better access to essential services for low-income individuals and families.

We could not do this without our partners and tremendous support of the community – including you! Thank you for making a real difference in the lives of so many youths.

Warm regards,
Maggie and Melissa
