Yes, CYAP is completely voluntary and confidential.
No. We focus on early intervention and prevention by connecting youth and families to services. Many of our youth are referred by school social workers. A handful of our cases are referred by police or the court system, but even in these circumstances their involvement with us is still voluntary.
Length of involvement depends on the family need. Some families work with CYAP for a season, but some need support for a year or more. The average length of involvement is 6 months.
