Carmel Youth Assistance Program Celebrates Impact of 2025 Light the World Giving Machine Season
CYAP is proud to share the results of the 2025 Light the World Giving Machine initiative in Indiana, which wrapped up its third consecutive season earlier this year.
The Light the World Giving Machine invites people of all backgrounds to donate goods and services to charitable organizations at interactive kiosks. In 2025, the Giving Machine operated at three Indiana locations — adjacent to the Carmel Christkindlmarkt at Carmel City Center, at Clay Terrace shopping mall in Carmel, and in Bloomington.
Since the initiative began in Indiana in 2023, an estimated 32,500 Hoosiers have visited a Giving Machine, and charities have received more than 83,400 food items, thousands of hygiene kits, educational supplies, and other essentials.
This season alone, we received more than 1,000 donated items totaling $20,485, directly supporting families in our community with essential supplies and services.
The initiative is organized by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which covers all operational costs so that 100% of each donation goes directly to the selected charities. Globally, nearly 1 million people visited Giving Machine kiosks in 126 cities across 21 countries during the 2025 season.
