2024 Carmel Gala Largest Fundraiser to Date
Eighth Annual Fundraiser Raises $100,000 for Carmel Youth Assistance Program
May 3, 2024 – Saturday evening’s Carmel Gala welcomed attendees from throughout the city to raise funds on behalf of the non-profit Carmel Youth Assistance Program (CYAP). Thanks to the generosity of event sponsors, donors, and the evening’s attendees, more than $100,000 was raised to benefit Carmel youth!
Funds raised at the Carmel Gala provide vital funding for CYAP’s programs and services. The Carmel Youth Assistance Program was formed in 2015 to help strengthen youth and families through community involvement. CYAP works in collaboration with the Carmel Clay School District, City of Carmel, and the Hamilton County Superior Court. CYAP is one of six offices serving students and their families in Hamilton County, Indiana.
The eighth annual event was chaired by Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam and included an evening of dinner, activities, a silent auction, and music by The Bishops. Hamilton County Councilman Tim Griffin and City of Carmel Councilman Jeff Worrell brought energy and enthusiasm as the emcees for the event.
The Carmel Gala has benefitted from the support of the City of Carmel since its inception. The City serves as a gold level sponsor providing both funding and in-kind support from the Mayor and City employees on the Gala planning committee. The dedication of the City of Carmel to its youngest citizens has truly made a positive impact on all the work of CYAP.
The Carmel Gala would not be possible without our generous sponsors. Thank you to our Naming sponsors Adam Grubb Media, City of Carmel, and Gaylor Electric. And our Gold level sponsors CBIZ Somerset, City Clerk’s Office, City Council, and United Consulting. Our Silver level sponsors Allied Solutions, American Structurepoint, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, F.A. Wilhelm Construction, FirstMile Security, Glen and Stacey Pomeroy, INS Capital Group, Joe’s Butcher Shop and Fish Market, Dr. Anita Joshi, King Family, Krieg DeVault LLP, NCAA, Old Town Companies LLC, Riverview Health, Solential Energy, STAR Financial Bank, and THE PLAID AGENCY. And our media sponsor Carmel Monthly. Without the support of these organizations and individuals, the work that CYAP does would not be possible.
CYAP provides professional coordination and referral services to students and families of the Carmel Clay School District. Casework services to families are completely confidential. Like other peer Youth Assistance Programs throughout Hamilton County, local volunteers develop and provide access to programs and services that promote positive growth experiences and enhance home and community relationships. CYAP connects families and youth to various resources including mentoring, tutoring, mental health supports, food and clothing assistance, financial assistance, and more.
